Manchester United continues to dream of signing Leny Yoro and is looking at other defenders, including Gleison Bremer.
According to Fabrizio Romano on Give Me Sport, Manchester United consider Leny Yoro a dream signing for their defence while also admiring Gleison Bremer, among others. The journalist did concede that Real Madrid remains Yoro’s ultimate priority, which could lead to the Red Devils losing out.
Manchester United dream of Leny Yoro
Leny Yoro has been clear about his future and favours a move to Real Madrid over others. Despite suggestions that the Spanish champions are not seriously considering him, they are indeed in touch with LOSC Lille for the teenage defensive sensation.
Lille are resigned to losing him, as Manchester United and Liverpool are among those keen on signing him. Erik ten Hag has shifted his attention towards filling the void left by Raphael Varane on the right side of his central defence and wants a top-rated star to replace the Frenchman.
Yoro remains a dream signing for Manchester United, as the club might make a late attempt to sign the Lille teenager within the next few days. However, the threat of Real Madrid could see them eventually lose out of the race, although they believe he’s someone worth trying.
Fabrizio Romano gave his opinion on Manchester United’s pursuit of Yoro and reiterated the defender’s priority destination. He also mentioned how the Red Devils admire Juventus’ Gleison Bremer as a significant option, as they could potentially turn to the 27-year-old Brazilian if things go south with Yoro.
Romano said, “Bremer remains the name they have on the shortlist, for sure. Leny Yoro is a dream target for Manchester United, and the same for Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool.
“All three clubs are still there trying to understand if something happens between Real Madrid and Lille, but the reality is that the player is waiting for Real Madrid.“
The player is giving total priority to Real Madrid. He wants to go to Real Madrid, and so they remain the big favourites in this story. The only way for other clubs to enter is in case the deal collapses between Real Madrid and Lille.”
Bremer is among the options to consider for Manchester United
Manchester United scouted Bremer last season, and they consider him a big target. With Juventus focusing their efforts on Riccardo Calafiori, they might consider the Italian as a direct replacement for the Brazilian.
The Red Devils are also in contact with Matthijs de Ligt’s camp, as Ten Hag is keen on a reunion with his former Ajax star. The Dutchman is eager to leave Bayern Munich, although his valuations are too high at the moment for Manchester United to seriously pay what’s required.
