Tottenham are currently favourites to land PYoussouf Fofana this summer, as many other clubs are also keen on the Monaco midfielder.
According to Tutto Juve, Tottenham could have been among the frontrunners for Youssouf Fofana’s signature but faces plenty of competition. The French international already has a host of clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United, and AC Milan, chasing his signature, with Spurs keen on completing the swoop.

Tottenham are in the market for a new midfield powerhouse, as they envisage sales of Giovani Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer. Either of those sales are expected to materialise but only after the Euros and the Copa America..
Meanwhile, they are not keen on wasting time until the duo leave, as they are keen on Youssouf Fofana and would like to sign the French midfielder this window. Monaco are already resigned to losing him, as the 25-year-old entered the final year of his deal and does not want to sign an extension.
Spurs are a good option for Fofana to consider, although he might want to evaluate his options before making a decision. Tottenham clearly need a midfielder who can hold the central zones well and provide a good base for the attackers and the defence.
Spurs do have a good chance as things stand, but they will have to dig deep to get the player on board, especially with the level of competition for the Frenchman’s signature. Arsenal and Manchester United are competing directly for his signature, while there’s keen interest from Italy, with AC Milan the club most eager to bring the 25-year-old.
Arsenal Manchester United are chasing Fofana
Fofana brings a different option to the midfield of many Premier League sides, including Arsenal and Manchester United. The Red Devils have held talks with Monaco over a move and could still emerge from behind to complete a deal.
Arsenal is an attractive proposition for many top-draw players in their current starts, and the same applies to Fofana. Hence, Spurs must swiftly get a deal in place for the midfield powerhouse or risk losing him to some of their more prestigious rivals.
