According to a report by Italian outlet SOS Fanta, Malick Thiaw is the subject of interest from Newcastle United. The Magpies are keen on signing another centre-back in the summer transfer window despite completing a Bosman move for Lloyd Kelly. The AC Milan defender has thus emerged as a target, with the Serie A giants demanding €30-35 million to sell the 22-year-old defender.

Malick Thiaw was one of the best young defensive prospects in Europe when he joined AC Milan from FC Schalke 04 in August 2022. The German centre-back was a hot property in the market after breaking into the first-team squad at Schalke before the Serie A giants came calling.
While the 22-year-old has blown hot and cold in the last two years, he has been a regular thus far for AC Milan. Thiaw has turned out 54 times thus far for the Rossoneri, chipping in with one assist.
