Manchester United, Tottenham run rule over Baris Alper Yilmaz

Manchester United and Tottenham are watching Baris Alper Yilmaz at Euro 2024, as his impressive displays could lead to an approach.

According to Haber Sari Kirmizi, Manchester United and Tottenham have watched Baris Alper Yilmaz performing for Turkiye at the Euros. The forward’s good performances could potentially lead to an approach from either side, with both English giants looking for attacking options in the window.

Are Manchester United and Tottenham watching Baris Alper Yilmaz?

Turkish commentator Ugur Karakullukcu insists that Manchester United and Tottenham have been watching Baris Alper Yilmaz in action for Turkiye at the Euros. The forward has yet to score a goal in his three games at the ongoing tournament, but his all-around display, starting as a centre-forward, has proved impressive on many counts.

Manchester United and Tottenham had links earlier, all due to his performances in a Galatasaray shirt last season, when they clinched the title with an incredible 102 points. The 24-year-old winger has predominantly played as a wide attacker for the Turkish giants, and his performances as a centre-forward for his nation showcase his immense versatility in all of the front three positions.

His versatility is very valuable in this current market, as many clubs are keen on such a profile. However, his numbers are not at all close to prolific, having only registered seven goals and twelve assists in 55 games for Galatasaray.

Yet, he can be a productive star in the attacking third, helping penetrate defences as a wide player or as a centre-forward if needed. More so, he could be a valuable asset to the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham, with both giants keen on a player who can produce consistent displays throughout the season.

Manchester United Tottenham keen on improving their attack

Given their lofty ambitions entering a new season after a somewhat disappointing one last time out, both Manchester United and Tottenham will be eager to improve many areas of their pitch, more so the attacking third. Spurs have reportedly seen a bid for Alexander Isak rejected, with the reporting suggesting they had offered Richarlison in return.

Manchester United have also seen links to many players, including some young and other experienced players. A recent report linked them to Alvaro Morata, while others have seen many young, emerging stars being shortlisted as the next Red Devils striker.
