Jadon Sancho offered to Barcelona, club open to loan move

Hansi Flick’s Barcelona have been offered the opportunity to sign Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho.

According to a report by SPORT, Barcelona are looking to strengthen their flanks this summer and they have been offered the chance to sign Jadon Sancho. Manchester United are ready to sanction the permanent departure of the English winger but the Catalan giants are only open to a loan move.

Sancho had a public fallout with Erik ten Hag at the very start of last season following which he was banished from the first team. After a tough six months at Old Trafford, he joined his former club Borussia Dortmund on a short loan.

The 24-year-old had a sensational spell at Dortmund as he played a big part in helping them reach the finals of the Champions League. He was involved in 21 matches and even contributed towards six goals.

While he is back at his parent club and still has two years left on his deal there, Sancho has no future at United. With Erik ten Hag still in charge, they are ready to part ways with the former Dortmund star.

They want to cash in on him and use the funds raised to strengthen their team. Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are both interested in signing him. While he could be a great addition to their respective squads, neither club are willing to meet the expectations of the Red Devils who want €60 million for the 24-year-old.

Barcelona can sign Sancho

Meanwhile, Barcelona have also been offered the chance to sign the United winger. The Catalan giants want more firepower on the flanks. While they haven’t sorted out their financial situation yet, they are planning to make an important signing up top.

Sancho could be a great addition to their ranks and his profile is liked by their new manager Hansi Flick. They were offered the services of the English international around two months back during a meeting between the clubs. United were exploring a chance to exchange players with Barcelona but that didn’t work out.

With United failing to find a buyer for Sancho, things are falling into place for the Spanish club. They will have to look to send him out on loan and this is where the Catalan giants will come to life. While his lofty wages could be a problem for them, the player has already sent across a message that he is willing to lower his wages if it leads him to Camp Nou.
