Everton are reportedly interested in a move for wantaway Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka and faces competition from Turkey.
According to HITC, Everton could enter the race for Aaron Wan-Bissaka as they have expressed an interest in signing the Manchester United ace. The right-back may be seen as a dispensable player at Old Trafford, as the Toffees could face intense competition from Turkish sides, particularly Galatasaray.
Everton are interested in Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag may have found a use for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, as the Dutchman deployed the English defender in games that needed accurate defending in the wide areas. However, in the future, he’s not the ideal solution for the profession the clubs seek to achieve, as the defender was expected to leave this summer.
Wan-Bissaka, who cost Manchester United a fee close to £50 million, has certainly not justified that price tag in his many years at the club. With a year left on his current deal, the Red Devils are expected to allow him a departure for a lower price, which has attracted many clubs.
Everton are now interested in signing the English right-back, for Sean Dyche would feel the Manchester United ace could suit his team. He could be seen as an alternative to the ageing Seamus Coleman, while his ability to play as a left-back makes him an option in place of Ashley Young.
Much will depend on Manchester United’s asking price for Wan-Bissaka, as Everton are embroiled in financial troubles with PSR ahead of the summer window. Moreover, the Toffees are now facing massive competition from Turkish sides, particularly Galatasaray.
Wan-Bissaka to Turkey?
Reports suggested that Galatasaray has agreed on personal terms with Wan-Bissaka, which would mean the Turkish side are far more advanced than any other club in the chase for the right back. Still, they are yet to agree on a fee with Manchester United, which does keep the race wide open.
Fenerbahce are also credited with an interest, especially after the arrival of former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho. However, an interest from an English club, such as Everton, would make the 26-year-old Wan-Bissaka re-think his choices and possibly wait until the Toffees make an offer of some sort.
