Aston Villa make approach for Brais Mendez, Mancheste United also interested

According to a report from Daily Express, Real Sociedad midfielder Brais Mendez has caught the attention of Aston Villa and Manchester United. The Villans have submitted an enquiry to sign the 27-year-old.

Aston Villa have already made an approach for the midfielder, and the 27-year-old would be a quality acquisition for them. Mendez had 11 goal contributions in La Liga last season, and Aston Villa could certainly use a versatile midfielder like him.

Brais Mendez is capable of operating centrally as well as in the wide areas. His versatility will be an added bonus for Unai Emery if Aston Villa can get the deal done. The West Midlands club have already made contact with the player’s representatives regarding a potential move.

However, they will face competition from Manchester United who have also expressed their interest in signing the player.
