Adrien Rabiot is reportedly waiting for an approach from Manchester United amid uncertainties surrounding his long-term future at Juventus.
According to a report by Italian outlet Tuttosport, Adrien Rabiot is the subject of interest from Manchester United. The 29-year-old faces an uncertain future at Juventus, with his deal expiring in a few days. However, the midfielder is waiting for an approach from the Premier League heavyweights to complete a Bosman move in the summer transfer window.
Adrien Rabiot and his career so far
Adrien Rabiot has established himself as one of the best midfielders in Serie A since joining Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain in a Bosman move in July 2019. The Frenchman was among the best young midfielders in the world during his spell with PSG. While he has not fulfilled his potential, he has still reached a high level.
The 29-year-old has turned out 212 times thus far for Juventus, chipping in with 22 goals and 15 assists. Meanwhile, Rabiot was a part of the French squad that reached the 2022 FIFA World Cup final. Meanwhile, the player faces an uncertain future at the Allianz Stadium, with his contract expiring in a few days.
Such a situation has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. A move to the Premier League might be on the cards, with well-known outfits like Newcastle United and Aston Villa interested in him. However, the French international is keen on joining Manchester United and is waiting for an approach from the Red Devils.
A move to Manchester United beckons?
Manchester United’s interest in Adrien Rabiot is understandable. The Red Devils are scouring the market for a midfielder heading into the summer transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding the futures of Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, and Donny van de Beek. In addition, Sofyan Amrabat will not complete a permanent move to Manchester United.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup finalist is thus a viable target for Manchester United. Rabiot has now boosted the Premier League club’s prospects of securing his services as he has his heart set on moving to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.
Reports in April claimed Rabiot would leave Juventus for Manchester United if Massimiliano Allegri left the club. With Allegri no longer at the club, a Bosman move to Old Trafford might see the light of day if the Red Devils submit an attractive offer.
