Liverpool cool interest in Crysencio Summerville

Liverpool have been linked with a move for 22-year-old Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville in recent weeks.

According to a report from Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Liverpool have now decided to abandon their interest in Dutch attacker Crysencio Summerville. The Leeds United talisman will likely join Brighton & Hove Albion if he moves to the Premier League.

Summerville had an impressive season in the EFL Championship with Leeds United, scoring 21 goals in all competitions. He would have been a quality acquisition for Liverpool for the right price.

Liverpool need a quality winger

Liverpool need more quality and depth in the wide areas. The Dutch attacker is capable of operating on both flanks, and he would have added goals and creativity to the side, thus explaining their interest. Players like Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz have been linked with moves away from the club, and Summerville would have been a quality alternative.

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can bring in the right additions in the attack this summer. There is no doubt that they need more quality in the final third. Liverpool will have to plug the weaknesses in their squad during the summer transport window if they are serious about competing with arsenal and Manchester City next season.

Meanwhile, Summerville will look to help Leeds secure promotion next season if he does not join Brighton & Hove Albion. The Whites were close to securing promotion to the Premier League this summer, but they failed in the final of the promotion playoffs. Summerville will be thoroughly disappointed to have missed out on a return to the English top flight.

It will be interesting to see if he joins ditches Leeds and joins Brighton in the coming weeks. There is no doubt that he is one of the best players in the Championship, and he is certainly good enough to succeed in the Premier League as well.

The opportunity to play for a club like Liverpool would have been exceptional for him. The Reds are one of the biggest clubs in the country, and they have proven track record of pushing for major trophies. Playing under a Dutch manager at Anfield would have been an enticing prospect for the player as well.
