Arsenal have enquired about the availability of Artem Dovbyk while Victor Osimhen remains on their radar as they look for a new number.

According to Rudy Galetti, Mikel Arteta’s priority is to sign a new world-class striker in the summer and Artem Dovbyk is one of the names on Arsenal’s shortlist. The Gunners have enquired about the Girona star while their interest in Napoli star Victor Osimhen remains intact.

The North London club were involved in the Premier League title race right until the end of the season. But, once again Manchester City got the better of them. In order to ensure, they finally clinch the league title, Arteta is looking to make a few key additions and signing a top striker is top of his wishlist.

Victor Osimhen on Arsenal’s wishlist

Victor Osimhen is one of the names that has been linked with the Gunners for a while now. The Napoli striker is amongst the best in the world and he could surely be a great signing for Arteta’s team. The Nigerian international has a strong physical presence, he has the pace and most importantly, he knows how to score goals regularly.

Arteta’s priority is to bring in a proven goal scorer and Osimhen surely fits the bill. They have already asked for information regarding a potential transfer but haven’t yet contacted Napoli. Girona’s Artem Dovbyk is also on the Gunners’ wishlist.

Arsenal enquired about Dovbyk

The Ukrainian international won the golden boot in his very first season in La Liga. He scored 24 goals and bagged eight assists in his 36 league outings. On the back of those performances, multiple top clubs from across Europe are after his signature.

The 26-year-old also seems to be an ideal fit for Mikel Arteta’s team and they have recently made approaches for him. The Gunners have enquired about him as they look to add him to their squad. But, they are not the only club in the mix as Napoli have held talks with agents over a potential transfer.

While Osimhen is the more established number nine out of the two, signing him will cost a fortune. However, a deal for Dovbyk might be a touch cheaper despite him having four years left on his contract.
