AS Roma set to demand €30 million to sell Tammy Abraham

Tottenham, Aston Villa and West Ham United will have to fork out €30 million to sign AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham.

According to a report from Corriere della Sera, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and West Ham United are all keen on signing Tammy Abraham ahead of next season. All three Premier League clubs are closely monitoring the player’s situation with AS Roma ready to sanction his departure.

Abraham made the move to the Italian club back in the summer of 2021. He had a sensation start to life at Roma but things haven’t been that great for him in the recent seasons. He suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury which kept him out from the majority of the 2023/24 season.

He did make a comeback towards the end of the season but only had limited involvement. While he still has two years left on his deal at the Italian club, they look ready to cash in on him. Roma are in desperate need to reinforce their attack ahead of next season and Abraham’s departure could play a big part in potential signings.

AS Roma ready to sell Abraham

With Romelu Lukaku returning to his parent club, they need to bring in someone who can replace him. They are not in the best of financial situation, and as a result, Abraham’s departure could help them raise funds and it will also be a big boost for their wage bill as the 26-year-old is paid around €6 million gross.

The former Chelsea forward’s departure will help them obtain liquidity to push for the signature of a new forward. The Italian club have set an asking price of €30 million amidst interest from multiple clubs in the Premier League.

Tottenham, Aston Villa and West Ham United are the ones keeping a close eye on the player’s situation. They are in need of reinforcing their attack and Abraham could be an ideal fit for them as he has enough experience of playing in the English top flight.

Spurs, West Ham & Villa want Abraham

Spurs want a new number nine in the summer on a priority basis after deciding to not sign a replacement for Harry Kane last summer. They always look for bargain deals and this could be an opportunity for them.

With Michail Antonio’s future uncertain and Danny Ings on the wrong side of 30, West Ham are looking at him as the next leader of their attack.

Aston Villa will be competing in the Champions League next season and they want more depth in attack. Abraham is a type of striker and Unai Emery would love to have at his disposal.

The player is open to a return to England and with all three clubs keen, Roma will hope a bidding war helps them get the €30 million they are looking for.
