Juventus front-runners to sign Jadon Sancho

Juventus could head to the front of the queue for Jadon Sancho, with Borussia Dortmund’s pursuit complicated due to Manchester United’s preference to sell.

According to Football Insider, Juventus are seemingly heading to the front of the queue for the signing of Jadon Sancho. Manchester United’s preference to sell, especially after their Erik ten Hag decision, will complicate the pursuit of Borussia Dortmund as the Bianconeri might step up the chase and look to negotiate with the Red Devils.

Are Juventus front-runners for Jadon Sancho’s signature?

Juventus have taken up an aggressive approach this summer as they appear to be in a hurry to complete important deals. They are already very close to bringing Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa in a part-exchange deal, with Samuel Iling-Junior and Weston McKennie going the other way as part of the agreement.

Now, they might anticipate some offers for winger Federico Chiesa, who has a year left and is expecting offers from the Premier League. As they might lose both the Italian international and Iling-Junior, Juventus might rekindle their interest in Jadon Sancho.

Manchester United had yet to decide on the 24-year-old, but they might be ready to sell him soon. The Red Devils reportedly want £40 million, and their decision to keep Erik ten Hag will not make the winger wish to return to Old Trafford after an impressive loan spell at Borussia Dortmund in the second half of the season.

Juventus might now find themselves in a good spot to negotiate terms with Manchester United, as they might have the funds to bring the 24-year-old Manchester United’s wantaway player. However, much will depend on how much the Red Devils realistically ask for the winger, as Turin might be an interesting destination for Sancho.

Borussia Dortmund’s pursuit is complicated

Borussia Dortmund are keen to re-sign Sancho, albeit only on a loan deal from Manchester United. They might propose adding a buy option this time around, although the Red Devils may not accept that. The fact is that Ten Hag might need further funds to fuel his transfer activities, and the club might prefer to sell rather than loan one of their prized assets.

Hence, while Sancho might have privately dreamed about remaining at Dortmund, he might have to make the right choices for his career. With Juventus in the picture, a move to Turin might not be as bad, with the winger set to depart Old Trafford one way or another.
