West Ham United table bid to sign Rwan Seco

West Ham United have made a €9 million bid for Ludogorets’ Brazilian striker Rwan Seco and are awaiting an answer to the proposal.

According to UOL, West Ham United have made a bid worth €9 million for Brazilian striker Rwan Seco. The 23-year-old forward plays in Bulgaria with Ludogorets as the Hammers await an answer to their proposal.

West Ham make Rwan Seco bid

The Hammers are clearly looking to strengthen their forward areas during the window, as they have engaged in plenty of activity for attacking players. Palmeiras star Luis Guilherme remains a target alongside Corinthians star Wesley Gassova. They might anticipate some changes to their current setup with Mohammed Kudus’ future in doubt, while there’s a need to bring in a striker.

On the subject of the striker, they did use Jarrod Bowen extensively in the position last season when Michail Antonio was injured, and David Moyes did not trust Danny Ings to get the job done. Hence, bringing in a centre-forward seems like a priority for West Ham, as they intend to use Bowen more in the wide zones rather than centrally.

There are a few links to some notable striker names in the market, but rather strangely, West Ham is now linked with a certain Rwan Seco. The Hammers have already made a €9 million bid for the 23-year-old Brazilian striker, who plays his trade with Bulgarian side Ludogorets, helping them win the domestic league last season with a stellar performance and a hand in 26 goals for the club.

The Hammers await an answer from Ludogorets on their bid for Seco, as they are probably looking at the 23-year-old Brazilian to bring some quality depth to the striker department. There’s clearly no doubt the former Santos man will be more of a squad option, as they are already in the market for a starting striker.

Who is West Ham’s priority striker target?

West Ham have been linked to a few players since January, as David Moyes wanted a new frontman to add goals to his side. Julen Lopetegui will not be happy with his current options and could return to former side Sevilla for striker Youssef En-Nesyri

They are also linked with Serhou Guirassy, the Stuttgart striker who has been linked since before the January window opened. The Guinea forward has a modest release clause attached, which makes any deal relatively straightforward. West Ham also like Nottingham Forest’s Taiwo Awonyi, although the former Liverpool prospect will be the costliest among the players mentioned earlier.
