West Ham United have agreed terms with Palmeiras for the transfer of teenage attacking sensation Luis Guilherme.
According to Rudy Galetti, West Ham United have an agreement in place with Palmeiras for the services of Luis Guilherme. The Hammers have been pushing for the teenager’s signature for a while now and they have finally reached full agreement with the Brazilian club for his transfer.
Guilherme has come up the ranks at Palmeiras and has been a part of their first team since the start of 2023. He has already been involved in 45 matches for them and has shown glimpses of the talent he possesses in the limited game time that he has had.
The teenager has only contributed towards two goals so far but his overall game and his ability to feature anywhere in attack is what has resulted in a lot of interest in him. His contract with Palmeiras runs until the summer of 2026 but multiple clubs are ready to prise him away from Brazil.
West Ham United have been working on a potential transfer for quite some time now. The Hammers have scouted the teenage sensation and they feel he could be a great signing to bolster their attack. His arrival will add a lot of depth to Julen Lopetegui’s team.
West Ham win race for Guilherme
Multiple top clubs from the Premier League wanted to sign the 18-year-old. But, the Hammers went all out to ensure they got their target. They had already made significant progress a few days back and have now managed to reach a full agreement with the Brazilian out.
Palmeiras were looking for a deal worth €30 million to sanction the departure of Guilherme. The Hammers have accepted their demands as they wanted to ensure they best the competition for his signature. West Ham will pay a fixed fee of €23 million with another €7 million as add-ons for the teenager.
On top of that, the Brazilian club will have a 20% share of future resale. It seems to be a win-win for all parties involved as Palmeiras get the money they wanted and the Hammers have signed a Brazilian sensation who could reach great heights in years to come.
