Borussia Dortmund prefer another loan deal for Jadon Sancho

Borussia Dortmund want to bring Jadon Sancho on another loan deal, as a permanent transfer appears beyond their means.

According to Football Insider, Borussia Dortmund are open to bringing Jadon Sancho on another loan deal rather than a permanent transfer. The Champions League finalists are not in a strong financial position to afford the 24-year-old Manchester United outcast on a permanent basis, as his future hangs in the balance.

BVB open to Jadon Sancho loan

At Manchester United, there is a big question about Jadon Sancho’s impending future. The attacker had mixed fortunes after being banished from the first-team plans by Erik ten Hag early in the previous campaign and not playing football again until his loan move to Borussia Dortmund in January.

Over in Germany, the 24-year-old found his form again as he helped BVB to the Champions League Final, where they lost out to Real Madrid. Since moving back to the Bundesliga, Sancho has wanted a permanent return, but things look murky.

Dortmund had stepped up talks with Manchester United to find a solution, although the Red Devils are not about to let him on the cheap. They plan on recouping a large chunk of the £73 million they paid BVB in 2021 to sell Sancho permanently.

Hence, Dortmund are unlikely to sign him permanently and might instead propose taking the 24-year-old Manchester United star on another loan deal for a whole season. Whether that fits with the Red Devils’ plans remains the question.

Jadon Sancho’s Manchester United Future explained

Sancho will reflect on the brilliant second half of the season and will undoubtedly have his reasons to sign for Dortmund again; for him to make the move permanently, the Bundesliga giants would have to commit to a large transfer fee and for the attacker to take a massive pay cut.

Secondly, Manchester United is still unclear about what they want to do with Sancho, as some reports suggested they were pondering bringing him back into the fold. Much of that will depend on what transpires for ten Hag’s future, with the club yet to take a call on the Dutchman’s position.
