Fulham are considering bringing their academy graduate Ryan Sessegnon back to the club ahead of next season.
According to a report from The Athletic, Fulham are interested in bringing Ryan Sessegnon back to the club. Their former academy graduate will soon be a free agent with his contract at Tottenham running out and the Cottagers have discussed the possibility of re-signing him.
Sessegnon made the move to the North London club in the summer of 2019 after coming up the ranks at Fulham and making a name for himself while playing for their first team.
The move to Spurs hasn’t worked out as planned for the former English youth international as he has been subject to multiple injuries during his time in North London. He has never really been available for an entire and has only featured in 57 matches for the club over the years.
In the 2023/24 campaign, the 24-year-old has been on the pitch for just seven minutes thanks to his struggle with injuries. He penned down a five-year with an option for another 12 months when he joined Spurs. That contract is running out in a month and Tottenham have decided against the option of extending his stay.
Fulham are considering bringing Sessegnon back
They are ready to part ways with the left-midfielder in the summer. With the 24-year-old available for free, his former club Fulham are considering making a move for him. The Cottagers are looking for opportunities to bolster their squad further ahead of next season.
They do not have much depth on the left flank and Marco Silva is keen on adding the needed depth in the summer. Sessegnon could be a great addition to their squad as he can feature both in the defensive side of things as well as a left winger if needed.
The Cottagers have internally discussed the idea of signing him but these are only preliminary talks, there is nothing concrete about them. While he is available for free, the fact that he is injury-prone is something that could go against the 24-year-old
