Saudi Pro League clubs Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr are both interested in acquiring the services of Manchester United midfielder Casemiro.
According to a report from Fichajes, Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr are both on the lookout for opportunities to further bolster their ranks by signing world-class players from Europe and they have their eyes set on Casemiro. There is a lot of speculation about the future of the Brazilian international and the Saudi Pro League clubs could make the most out of the situation.
After winning it all with Real Madrid, Casemiro made the move to Manchester United in the summer of 2022. The Red Devils forked out a significant fee to land at the club and they even handed him a four-year deal. While the 32-year-old had an impressive debut season, he hasn’t reached the expected levels this season.
The Brazilian was a constant feature in Erik ten Hag’s team but he was never really at his best. His inconsistent performances have resulted in a lot of talks about his future. While he still has two years left in his deal, United could look to sanction his departure in the summer amidst interest from the Middle East.
Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr both want Casemiro
The former Real Madrid star could earn himself a final big contract with a move to Saudi Arabia and there is interest from two massive clubs from that part of the world. Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr both seem to be very keen on his signature.
Both clubs already have a lot of superstars in their ranks but they are expected to push for a few more in the summer to further bolster their ranks. The 32-year-old’s connection with Cristiano Ronaldo could pave the way for his move to Al-Nassr.
The Portuguese international has played with the Brazilian at Real Madrid as well as United. The duo share a great bond and Ronaldo’s influence at the Saudi club could play a pivotal role in the transfer. Meanwhile, a move to Al-Hilal will provide him with an opportunity to play alongside his countryman Neymar.
Given the kind of dominance the team in Blue have showcased in the 2023/24 season, they do represent a great opportunity. But, it will be interesting to see what Casemiro has in his mind and what price will United let him leave for.
