Luis Guilherme agrees personal terms with West Ham United

West Ham United are getting closer to bringing one of Brazil’s exciting stars, Luis Guilherme, after agreeing on personal terms with the teenager.

According to Fabrizio Romano, West Ham United have agreed on personal terms with Luis Guilherme as talks with Palmeiras continue to find an agreement. Should the Hammers end up signing the 18-year-old Brazilian wonderkid, they will have one of the finest talents coming out of Brazil in recent years.

West Ham agree personal terms with Luis Guilherme

West Ham United director Tim Steidten has been in Brazil for a few weeks, trying to engage in talks with at least three different clubs to sign new players. The Hammers’ acute interest in the Brazilian market has been a bit uncharacteristic. But now, they are close to signing at least one player from the South American country.

West Ham had been working to sign Luis Guilherme, although initial reports stated Palmeiras were uninterested in selling the player to Westy Ham or anyone else. However, the teenager’s value might diminish after this window, meaning the Brazilian side might be open to a sale.

West Ham have engaged in advanced talks with Palmeiras about the teenager, with Fabrizio Romano claiming it is a deal worth €30 million. Now, the Italian transfer guru insists the Hammers have found an agreement on personal terms with the 18-year-old Brazilian wonderkid, which will come across as a massive step towards finalising the transfer.

West Ham and Palmeiras are also in talks about inserting a 20% sell-on clause in any deal to sell Guilherme, as there is growing confidence the teenager will have a massive future ahead. As things stand, and despite multiple reports of rival interest in the 18-year-old Brazilian wonderkid, the Hammers are in pole position to sign the teenager, although things are still sensitive and could even potentially change.

West Ham’s Brazilian adventure

Tim Steidten has been in Brazil for quite a while now and seems poised to bring at least three players. He started off positively after agreeing a deal with Flamengo for defender Fabricio Bruno. However, the 28-year-old’s wage demands have stalled a move for the defender, which still hangs in the balance.

They are also keen on Corinthians’ young star Wesley Gassova, although there are considerable doubts so far whether the Brazilian side will agree on West Ham’s terms.
