Everton are reportedly optimistic of completing a summer move to sign 27-year-old Leeds United attacker Jack Harrison this summer.
According to a report by Football Insider, Jack Harrison is the subject of interest from Everton over a permanent move in the summer transfer window. The 27-year-old attacker spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Goodison Park. Meanwhile, the Toffees are confident of keeping the Leeds United loanee at the Merseyside club heading into the 2024/25 season.
Jack Harrison and his Everton journey
Jack Harrison enjoyed a solid 2023/24 season on loan at Everton after arriving from Leeds United in August 2023. A native of Stoke-on-Trent, he began his youth career with Liverpool before spending seven years at Manchester United. However, the Englishman moved to the USA in 2010.
The 27-year-old returned to England in 2018, joining Manchester City from sister club New York City FC. However, Harrison had to wait until he joined Leeds United on loan from Manchester City to rise in prominence. The player came leaps and bounds in half a decade at Elland Road before joining Everton last summer.
The English attacker was a regular for Everton, turning out 35 times for the first team while chipping in with four goals and three assists. Harrison’s exploits at the Merseyside club have not gone unnoticed, compelling the Toffees to launch the offensive over a permanent move in the summer transfer window.
Permanent move on the cards?
Everton’s eagerness to seal a permanent move for Jack Harrison is understandable. The 27-year-old Englishman has been a solid performer for the Merseyside outfit in the last 12 months. So, with Harrison rising in stature and finding a stable footing at another Premier League club, a summer deal might be on the cards.
Recent reports have claimed that Harrison wants a permanent move to Goodison Park in the summer transfer window. Amid the English attacker’s eagerness to remain at Everton heading into the 2024/25 season, the Toffees are increasingly confident to keep hold of him.
So, a permanent move is on the cards, with Everton likely to retain Jack Harrison’s services by converting his loan deal into a permanent transfer. It will be interesting to see how much they cough up to seal the deal in the coming weeks.
