Liverpool’s Colombian star Luis Diaz would love to make the move to Barcelona in the upcoming transfer window.
According to a report from Fichajes, Barcelona are looking to reinforce their squad in the summer following a disappointing season. They have their eyes set on Liverpool star winger Luis Diaz who is interested in making the move to Spain.
Diaz made a name for himself while playing for FC Porto. His impressive performances attracted a lot of interest and eventually, Liverpool ended up winning the race for his signature. They signed him in the winter of 2022 and he has only gone from strength to strength since.
He has featured in a total of 97 matches for the Reds and has contributed towards 37 goals (24 goals, 13 assists). The 27-year-old winger has 18 goal contributions in his 50 outings this term. He has been a consistent performer for them, resulting in interest from across Europe.
Barcelona interested in Luis Diaz
While he still has over three years left on his deal at the Merseyside club, Barcelona are the ones keen on acquiring his services. The Catalan giants want more firepower up top and feel the Colombian international could be a great fit for them.
His versatility, ability on the ball, pace and goal-scoring abilities make him an ideal fit for their forward line. As a result, they are interested in having him in their squad starting next season.
But, securing his services won’t be easy as the Reds will have the upper hand in negotiations with his deal running until the summer of 2027. They have no intentions of letting him leave for a cheap price and will reportedly demand more the €80 million for the signature of the 27-year-old.

This figure could complicate things for the Spanish giants who are not in the best of financial situations at this stage. But, they do have a boost as the player is keen on making the switch.
He wants to play for Barcelona and that mutual desire has sparked an interest in the Spanish club who feel Diaz could add a new dimension to their squad. As a result, they are willing to try everything in their power to land him at Camp Nou ahead of next season.
