Marc Guehi expected to leave Crystal Palace this summer

Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United have received a major boost in their pursuit of Crystal Palace defensive sensation Marc Guehi.

According to a report from Football Insider, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United are all keen on having Marc Guehi in their squad starting next season, and they have received a major boost in their pursuit as the Crystal Palace centre-back is expected to be on the move in the upcoming transfer window.

Guehi came up the ranks at Chelsea. While things did not work out for him at the Blues, the switch to the Eagles in 2021 has done wonders for him. The 23-year-old has established himself in the heart of their defence, and his impressive performances have also helped him break into the England national team.

While he has been restricted to just 28 appearances this term because of a knee injury, Guehi has been a standout performer for them at the back when he is fit and available. His consistent performances in the heart of the defence have resulted in interest from English giants, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.

English giants push for Guehi’s signature

The Red Devils are all set to part way with a few of their senior defenders in the summer. Raphael Varane’s departure is already a certainty, and a few more could fellow. As a result, the club are keen on reinforcing the backline, and they are looking for players who can help them in the short as well as long run. Guehi is someone who has been on their radar for a while now.

While the Gunners do have a strong defensive base, Mikel Arteta wants more depth at the back. He wants to have enough quality to ensure they can compete for all major titles, and the Spanish manager feels the Palace defender could do wonders for them.

Liverpool are also keen on defensive reinforcement. The Reds do not have much depth at the club, and they are keen on adding a young defender who has the potential to eventually be a first-team regular. Guehi is at the top of their wishlist.

Guehi to leave Crystal Palace?

Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United have received a boost in their pursuit as the Eagles might actually listen to offers for the 23-year-old defender in the summer. Guehi, Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise have all been standout performers for Crystal Palace in the recent past, and there is no shortage of interest in them.

While the Eagles do not want to sell any of them, they will have to sanction at least one departure to provide Oliver Glasner with enough funds to reinforce his squad. Glasner is quite keen on having both Eze and Olise at Selhurst Park as he looks to build on the promising start.

As a result, Marc Guehi is the most likely to leave the club in the summer. Crystal Palace seem to be ready to sanction his departure in the summer if their demands are met.
