Rodrygo Goes uninterested in Real Madrid exit amid Manchester United links.

Rorygo Goes is not keen to swap Real Madrid for Manchester United

According to Defensa Central, Brazilian star Rodrygo Goes is keen to stay out at Real Madrid amidst interest from Manchester United as we head into the 2024 summer transfer window.

The Samba star has been a clutch player for Los Blancos, scoring several key goals since arriving at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2019. Rodrygo has since made 206 appearances for the La Liga leaders, scoring 50 goals and assisting 40 more.

While his impact pales in comparison to that of Vonicus Junior, the 23-year-old is a key cog in Carlo Ancelotti’s roster. Capable of playing anywhere along the frontline, Rodrygo adds an element of total football at least as far as attacking responsibilities go.

Manchester United lack a reliable wideman following Jadon Sancho and Antony’s struggles. Amad Diallo has not been trusted enough while Facundo Pellistri could be on his way out. Erik ten Hag could definitely do with a player of Rordygo’s talents as he seeks to build at Manchester United.

To Goes or not to Goes is the question haunting Rodrygo and Real Madrid

However, the player does not seem keen on swapping white for red. Despite potentially raising €130m from Rordygo’s sale, neither Ancelotti nor Florentino Preez are on board regarding his sale. Given the riches that the Spaniards possess within their ranks, it is a testament to Rodrygo’s ability that he is seen in such high regard.

However, neither Real honcho will stand in the player’s way should he opt to move elsewhere. But then sadly for Manchester United, the Brazilian attacker has shown little inclination to leave the Bernabeu anytime soon.

Whether it will change once Kylian Mbappe arrives remains to be seen. While there is still no official confirmation of the same, Real are the overwhelming favourites to secure the French superstar. Mbappe’s potential arrival is likely to directly impact Rodrygo’s playing time. Whether it is something that will pave the way for his exit in the summer remains to be seen.
