Tottenham rival Arsenal in Willian Pacho pursuit

Tottenham are keen on signing Eintracht Frankfurt defender Willian Pacho, and they will face competition from Arsenal.

Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri has claimed that Willian Pacho will cost €50 million in the summer transfer window. The Ecuadorian defender is a target for North London clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham have already invested in three central defenders in recent times. They signed Micky van de Ven and Ashley Phillips last summer. They then went on to land Radu Dragusin during the January transfer window as well. It will be interesting to see if they decide to move for the 22-year-old Bundesliga defender as well.

Willian Pacho is good enough for Arsenal, Tottenham

Tottenham need more depth in their squad to compete with the Premier League elite, and signing another talented defender would not be a surprise. Willian Pacho has shown his quality in the Bundesliga, and he has the physicality to do well in England as well.

The opportunity to move to Spurs could be an exciting one for him especially if they can secure Champions League football. Meanwhile, Arsenal are also one of the biggest clubs in the world, and it will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for the defender.

The Gunners already have four reliable central defenders at their disposal, and it will be interesting to see if the Eintracht Frankfurt defender is willing to move to the Emirates. Nevertheless, Arsenal are keen on the Ecuadorian international.

The 22-year-old will want to play regularly at this stage of its career, and joining a big club only to sit on the bench would not be preferable for him. Tottenham are more likely to be able to offer him first-team opportunities.

A move to the Premier League will be a major step up, and Willian Pacho will look to prove himself at the highest level. There is no doubt that the youngster has the ability to succeed in the Premier League, and he will look to establish himself as a key player for Arsenal or Tottenham.

Both clubs are well-placed to secure Champions League qualification for the next season, and they will be attractive destinations for most players. They have the financial muscle to pay the reported €50 million asking price as well, and it remains to be seen which of the two sides come forward with an official offer first. The player has been linked with Real Madrid as well.
