Arsenal will have to fork out €20-25 million to acquire the services of 18-year-old Brazilian wonderkid Alisson.
According to Jorge Nicola, Atletico Mineiro will demand around €20-25 million for their teenage attacking sensation Alisson. He has had an impressive rise at the Brazilian club, and his huge potential has attracted a lot of attention.
Alisson and his rise at Atletico Mineiro
Alisson was promoted to their first team at the start of the year. He has a total of 11 first-team appearances, six of which have come in the ongoing season. While the sample size is quite small, his impressive performances at the youth level, and recent senior team performances have made it clear that he is a special talent.
Clubs from across Europe seem to be interested in the teenage sensation, who prefers playing on the right flank but can even feature up top or in the centre of the park. While there are still over three years left on his deal with the Brazilian club, there is a huge possibility of his departure in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Arsenal’s interest & Alisson’s price tag
Arsenal are one of the clubs linked with the 18-year-old sensation. The Gunners have reportedly scouted him in the recent past and are considering making a move for him.
Mikel Arteta’s men are looking to reinforce their attack in the summer. Their priority is to sign a new striker, but they are also looking for someone who can provide cover for Bukayo Saka. Alisson is a huge future prospect; he prefers playing on the flanks and could be a great addition to their ranks.
Initially, reports suggested that three English clubs were spotted scouting the Brazilian wonder kid. Post that, a few reports have mentioned the Gunners are the ones keeping an eye on the 18-year-old star.
But, at this point in time, there is nothing concrete to it. Nicolo has made it clear that there is no bid from Arsenal for the teenager. He has even made it clear that if the Gunners really want him, they will have to fork out between €20-25 million because that is what Atletico Mineiro are looking for.
