Manchester United have reportedly enquired about Aaron Anselmino ahead of the summer, with the Boca Juniors teenager emerging as an exciting talent.
According to Tyc Sports, Manchester United have enquired about Aaron Anselmino, the Boca Juniors teenager, ahead of the summer. The Argentine side are protected by a $20 million release clause in his ciontract, something his suitors might look to negotiate.
Manchester United make Anselmino’s enquiry
Aaron Anselmino has only begun breaking into Boca juniors’ senior squad and barely has a dozen games under his belt. His short performance has already impressed many suitors from the shores of Europe, including Manchester United.
The Red Devils have already expressed an interest in the 18-year-old Argentine sensation, and now Manchester United have enquired about the defender. Erik ten Hag, irrespective of whether he stays at the club, will have made plans for the future, including bringing in some young defenders on board.
Boca Juniors are aware of the interest in the defender and will look to extract the best value in the transfer market for their teenager. As things stand, Anselmino has a contract unit 2028 and a release clause worth $20 million, something they hope suitors will pay.
In the meantime, Anselmino hopes to thoroughly break into the Boca Juniors’ setup and cement his place in the first team for the foreseeable future. Whether a move to Manchester United materialises will have to be watched closely in the summer, although this is possible.
Manchester United is planning differently under INEOS
The links to Anselmino and a few others in South America indicate they have improved their scouting in the continent and are expanding their talent search. For instance, they are keen on Franco Mastantuano of River Plate, proving they are particularly interested in the Argentine market.
Either way, under the watchful eye of INEOS, Manchester United are planning for the future differently and may not want to revisit how they conducted business in the last ten years or so. As for Anselmino, he could form p[part of the club’s defence for a long time, provided he realises his talent and fights to become a star at Old Trafford.
