Mikel Arteta wants Arsenal to sign Javi Guerra, Cristhian Mosquera

Arsenal are reportedly looking to sign Javi Guerra and Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia at the end of the season.

A report from Fichajes has claimed that Mikel Arteta is keen on signing Javi Guerra and Cristhian Mosquera, and it remains to be seen whether Arsenal can secure an agreement with La Liga club Valencia.

Valencia have not been at their best in recent seasons, and they have their own financial limitations. They could be tempted to sell the two young prospects if there is a lucrative offer on the table. Arsenal need to add more quality and depth to their squad in order to truly compete with the European elite.

Although they have a talented squad, they are lacking in depth right now. Mikel Arteta has not been able to rotate his quad adequately. Guerra will add technical ability and depth in the central midfield. The 20-year-old will help control proceedings in the middle of the park, and he will add creativity as well he could prove to be a superb long-term acquisition for the north London club.

Arteta has done well to nurture talented young players at Arsenal, and he could help the in-demand Guerra fulfil his potential as well. Meanwhile, Cristhian Mosquera is a target for Arsenal as well. They need more options at the back, and the versatile defender is capable of operating as a central defender as well as a right-back. He could prove to be a very useful acquisition for Arsenal, and his versatility will be an added bonus.

Guerra, Mosquera should be tempted to join Arsenal

Both players are quite young and will improve with coaching and experience pulled up they could develop into key players for Arsenal in the coming seasons. Arsenal have an impressive track record when it comes to nurturing young players, and they could help the two players improve further.

A move to the Premier League would be a step up in their career as well, and the two players will look to prove themselves at the highest level. Valencia would ideally look to hold onto them for as long as possible. But the Spanish club could be powerless to stop them from leaving, if there is a lucrative proposal on the table.
