Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are keen on acquiring the services of 24-year-old Fenerbahce utility man Ferdi Kadioglu.

According to a report by Fotomac, Manchester City are always on the lookout for players that can further bolster their squad and help them maintain their dominance in England and Europe. Ferdi Kadioglu is a player that has caught the eye of Pep Guardiola and the Spanish manager wants him in his ranks starting next season.

Kadioglu’s journey at Fenerbahce

Kadioglu joined Fenerbahce back in the summer of 2018 when he was just a teenager. The Turkish club trusted his potential and struck a deal for his services. He has gone from strength to strength since making the move.

The 24-year-old full-back has featured in 181 matches for the Turkish club and has contributed towards 36 goals. Not only is he a sensational left-back, but the Turkish international is capable enough to feature as a right-back as well as a right-winger.

He has been in sensational form in the ongoing season. He has played a big part in their impressive run as they look to win the Super Lig. In his 33 outings this season, he has contributed towards five goals and has been a rock in the defence. His consistent performances and versatility have caught the attention of quite a few clubs.

Kadioglu on City’s radar

He has also caught the attention of Pep Guardiola. The Spanish manager has dominated England and Europe since taking charge of the Manchester-based club. He is always on the lookout for ways to further improve his side and the club seems to have found the next player who could become a sensation under Guardiola.

They feel Kadioglu has what it takes to fit into the former Bayern Munich manager’s system. Guardiola often uses one of his centre-backs as the left-back but he does intend on signing a full-back ahead of next season. As a result, they will most likely make a move in the summer for the €20 million rated defender.

While he would still have two years left on his deal after the end of the season, City have the financial power needed to prise him away if their manager is really keen on having him in their ranks.
