Francesco Camarda is set to snub the advances of Premier League clubs to sign a professional deal at AC Milan.
According to HITC, Francesco Camarda is ready to commit his future to AC Milan by signing his first professional deal with the club. With that decision, the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Liverpool suffered a blow in their chances to sign the highly-coveted 15-year-old prodigy.
Francesco Camarda to sign professional terms with AC Milan
As a 15-year-old, Francesco Camarda made history by becoming the youngest player to debut in Serie A. The decision to hand the youngster minutes in a league game showed how trusted he is by Stefano Pioli, as that was also a significant indication that AC Milan wanted a long-term future with the player.
Since he became the pretty famous 15-year-old with that debut, many clubs lined up to try and sign him before he could sign a professional contract. Arsenal and Liverpool are keen, while Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United were also considering making approaches.
Manchester City were also considered front runners for Camarda, although the 15-year-old prodigy will reportedly commit his future with AC Milan. His family are happy with how things have gone and is keen for Camarda to stay at the San Siro to sign his first professional terms with his boyhood club.
Milan are ready to offer a three-year deal when he turns 16, as Camarda has reportedly rejected multiple overtures from Premier League clubs. Milan would be the happier party as they have achieved what they wanted with the future of their rising star.
Arsenal and Liverpool suffer a blow in the Camarda chase
Both those Premier League sides and others have been dealt a massive blow in pursuit of Camarda. Those English sides may have hoped tosign the 15-year-old prodigy on the cheap before he signs professional terms.
There might have been the element of offering better financial terms for a 15-year-old while luring him. However, Camarda’s love for Milan and his family’s decision may have paved the way for his first professional deal at the San Siro.
