West Ham United are keen on signing the Norwich City attacker Jonathan Rowe.
A report from Talksport claims that West Ham have identified the 20-year-old English attacker as a replacement for Said Benrahma.
Benrahma has struggled for regular game time at West Ham and he needs to leave the club in order to play regularly. The Hammers will have to replace him adequately and they have identified the 20-year-old Norwich attacker as his alternative.
Rowe has been in outstanding form this season and he has 17 goal contributions across all competitions. He could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for the Hammers.
It would be a signing similar to that of Jarrod Bowen from Hull City.
The 20-year-old has the ability to establish himself as a key player for West Ham in the coming seasons and move to the Premier League will be an attractive proposition for him.
He will want to compete at the highest level and West Ham can certainly provide him with that platform. They will be able to offer the attacker European football as well.
Rowe will add goals and creativity to the West Ham attack from the wide areas. He has the potential to develop into a reliable Premier League attacker with the right guidance.
A move to the Premier League would be a major step up in his career but the player seems ready for the opportunity.
West Ham are currently pushing for European qualification and they need quality players at their disposal. They have an impressive squad but they could certainly use attacking reinforcements.
Norwich will not want to lose a talented young player like him any time soon, but they will be powerless to stop him from leaving if West Ham come forward with a lucrative proposal. The 20-year-old is likely to push for a move to the Premier League club as well. It would be an exceptional opportunity for him and regular football in England could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his tremendous potential.
