Liverpool defender Calvin Ramsay is currently on loan at Preston North End and the Premier League side are now in talks with them to bring him back.
According to This is Anfield, Liverpool are ready to bring him back to the club after he has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot at Deepdale because of persistent injury problems.
The Reds recently brought Fabio Carvalho back to the club as well because he was struggling for regular game time at RB Leipzig. They sent him out another loan spell to Hull City and it will be interesting to see if they decide to send Calvin Ramsay on another loan spell as well.
The Scottish defender was highly rated around Europe when he joined the Premier League club, but his debut campaign in England was plagued with injuries. He will be hoping to get his career back on track in the coming months, and it remains to be seen where he ends up.
Liverpool will hope that he can play regularly and regain his confidence and sharpness. They could certainly use more depth in the defence right now, especially with injuries to Trent Alexander Arnold, Joel Matip, Andrew Robertson, and Kostas Tsmikias.
Ramsay could have been a useful squad player for them. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few days. The defender has barely played for Preston this season and therefore they are unlikely to have any objections if Liverpool decide to bring him back.
He is undoubtedly a talented player with immense potential and he will hope for a little bit of luck on the injury front so that he can return to playing regularly once again. The Scottish defender is still quite young and he has plenty of time to develop and fulfil his tremendous potential.
Liverpool will hope he can live up to the expectations at Anfield in the coming seasons. If he manages to develop properly, he could be a quality long-term prospect for the Merseyside outfit in the near future.
