According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Alex Baena is the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur. The 22-year-old has been gaining popularity in the market in the last 12 months. The Villarreal midfielder has now emerged as a target for the Premier League giants.
Alex Baena: A Rising Name in La Liga
Alex Baena has established himself as one of the best young midfielders in La Liga in the last 12 months. A graduate of Villarreal’s youth division, the Spaniard has been with the Yellow Submarine since 2017. Since then, he has come leaps and bounds, especially after becoming a regular for the first team.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a solid 2022/23 campaign and has remained consistent this term despite his team’s struggles. Baena has contributed to 12 goals in 24 outings thus far, chipping in with four goals and eight assists. The youngster has also broken into his national team this year, scoring on debut in September.
