Tosin Adarabioyo tells Fulham he wants summer exit as free agent

Tosin Adarabioyo is intent on leaving Fulham at the end of the season as a free agent, thus boosting Tottenham’s hopes.

According to The Sun, Tosin Adarabioyo continues to lean towards leaving Fulham despite an upturn in form under Marco Silva. The 26-year-old could opt to become a free agent in the summer and have his choice of clubs, with Premier League giants Tottenham one of those keen.

Tosin Adarabioyo: The Situation At Fulham

Marco Silva was full of praise for Tosin Adarabioyo after Fulham made it to the Carabao Cup semi-finals via a penalty shootout. The 26-year-old struck the winning penalty, and the manager wants more from him this season.

However, his future remains uncertain at Craven Cottage, although Silva retains hope of a breakthrough in negotiations with the player and his representatives over a new contract. The Portuguese manager remains desperate to keep hold of the 26-year-old, but he may have other ideas.

Tottenham Keen on Adarabioyo

Tottenham have long maintained an interest in Adarabioyo and had hoped to acquire him on a cut-price move in January when he will have six months on his deal. They could swoop in for the defender. But things will depend on Fulham, who are still retaining hope.

Now, there are chances of the 26-year-old leaving on a free transfer in the summer as he wants to leave the West London club. In that scenario, Fulham may have no choice but to accept reduced terms from suitors like Tottenham and sell him to gain some funds in return.

He could also sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs, with AS Monaco one of the sides keen to sign the former Manchester City academy star. For now, Adarabioyo has his options open in front, and while Fulham will keep the channels open, there are chances he leaves on a free.

Tottenham will undoubtedly hope to sign him on the cheap and bolster their defence. But much will depend on the 26-year-old and the choices he has in front. For now, Fulham are losing the race to extend his stay, but Silva will continue to push for a renewal.
