Barcelona recently contacted Djurgardens IF for Lucas Bergvall, a target for Manchester United, with Bosse Andersson confirming the development.
As reported by Fotbollskanalen, Barcelona and Djurgardens IF have been in contact over Lucas Bergvall. The Swedish club’s sporting director Bosse Andersson has confirmed the development. Meanwhile, the 17-year-old midfielder is also a target for Manchester United.
Bosse Andersson told Fotbollskanalen, “Yes, I can confirm that we have been in contact and in dialogue with Barcelona. But it’s not a negotiation yet, in my world. There was some contact with Barcelona last week. But this week we haven’t spoken to them.”
Lucas Bergvall and the Rise of the young Swedish Sensation
Lucas Bergvall is one of the most highly sought-after youngsters in Europe right now. The Swedish midfield sensation graduated from the IF Brommapojkarna youth division last year. But he has risen to prominence after joining Djurgardens IF from Brommapojkarna in February 2023.
The 17-year-old has gradually risen in stature to become one of his nation’s best young prospects. Bergvall has enjoyed a solid 2023/24 season thus far, chipping in with two goals and one assist in 26 appearances across all competitions thus far.
