Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid have reignited their interest in the 26-year-old Aston Villa midfielder Youri Tielemans.
According to a report by Defensa Central, Real Madrid are keen on having Youri Tielemans in their ranks. They had the opportunity to sign him for free in the summer but decided against it. However, his impressive performances for Aston Villa have put him back on the radar of the Spanish giants.

Over the past few years, they have signed some of the best young talents, who have played a huge part in their success. The likes of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes, Federico Valverde, Eder Militao, Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham are some of the best young signings made by the team in white.
While Calafat plays a big part in these signings, Zinedine Zidane has also had a huge role to play. Quite a few of these players were recommended to the Real Madrid board by the former French international. Youri Tielemans is a name that Zidane suggested to Florentino Perez back in the day. But the Real Madrid president never made a move to sign the Belgian.

Los Blancos had an opportunity to sign him in the summer for free. His contract at Leicester City ran out, and he was a free agent. Despite having the opportunity to sign the 26-year-old for free, Real Madrid let it pass. But, they seem to have realised the fact that they have made a mistake and now seem interested in the former AS Monaco star.
Tielemans has been doing wonders for Unai Emery’s Aston Villa in the Premier League of late. The Belgian international has featured in a total of 24 matches in all competitions for Villa, contributing towards five goals. He is a complete midfielder who can feature in any role in the centre of the park, which is one of the reasons why Real Madrid are interested in him.
With Luka Modric already 38 and Toni Kross considering an early retirement after the end of the ongoing season, Real Madrid could suddenly lose two of its most experienced and important midfielders. As a result, they could look at Tielemans to bring in the composure and experience into the midfield unit.
