Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur are all keen on having 18-year-old Bayern Munich sensation Mathys Tel in their ranks.
According to a report by Fichajes, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in acquiring the services of Mathys Tel. The 18-year-old sensation has proven to be an important first-team player for Bayern Munich of late. But he could be on his way to a bigger club in search of more minutes.
Mathys Tel joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022 for a fee of €28.5 million from Rennes. He is considered to be a huge prospect of the game, which is why Bayern decided to bet on his future and acquired his services by paying a significant amount.
Since arriving in Germany, he has featured in a total of 46 matches. But he has come off the bench on 40 occasions while starting only six games so far. Despite getting limited game time, Tel has done his bit by contributing towards a total of 15 goals.
In the ongoing season, he has nine goal contributions in 18 outings. Despite being on the pitch for less than 550 minutes, the teenager has produced some exceptional performances and become an important part of Thomas Tuchel’s first team.
The French youth international’s performances have not gone unnoticed, and he is on the radar of multiple clubs from across Europe. While Bayern Munich consider him to be an important part of their future plans, Tel could push for a move as he seeks regular first-team actions.
Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are three potential destinations for the teenage sensation. All three clubs are monitoring the 18-year-old closely and could make a move for his services.
Arsenal are in search of more depth as they look to push for the league title and Tel could be a great addition to Mikel Arteta’s ranks for the present as well as the future. Newcastle United have carried on similar fashion after a successful season last time out. But, Eddie Howe is still looking at areas they need to reinforce and he feels a new forward could help their cause.
As far as Spurs are concerned, the lack of depth up top and recent injuries have caused problems for them. As a result, Tottenham are looking for a versatile forward, and Tel certainly fits the bill. They have been monitoring the Bayern Munich sensation for a while now and could make a move soon.
