Real Madrid rule out Bryan Zaragoza swoop

Florentino Perez has ruled out a move for Bryan Zaragoza, with Real Madrid unlikely to launch the offensive for the 22-year-old Spanish winger.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Bryan Zaragoza will not join Real Madrid next year. The 22-year-old winger was the subject of interest from Los Blancos. But Florentino Perez has vetoed a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, with the Granada winger off the club’s list of targets.

Bryan Zaragoza is a native of Malaga and began his youth career at Tiro Pichon. But he made considerable progress after joining Granada in 2019. The Spanish winger came leaps and bounds in the Andalusian club’s youth division before making his first-team debut in November 2021.

Since then, the 22-year-old has gone from strength to strength at Granada CF and become a pivotal figure for his team. Meanwhile, he has also broken into the Spanish national side, making his debut in October. Zaragoza has enjoyed a solid first half of the 2023/24 season, managing five goals and two assists in 14 appearances.

Zaragoza’s progress in Granada’s first team has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs. Reports in October linked him with Barcelona. Meanwhile, the Spaniard has also alerted Real Madrid.

Real Madrid will likely enter the market for a wide attacker in the 2024 summer transfer window. While Rodrygo Goes has stepped up his performance levels, Carlo Ancelotti can do with more options in his squad. So, it behoves Real Madrid to invest in the offensive department in the 2024 summer transfer window.

Bryan Zaragoza has thus emerged as a viable target for Los Blancos. But Real Madrid will not launch the offensive to sign the 22-year-old Spanish winger in the 2024 summer transfer window. Florentino Perez has vetoed a move, asserting that the Merengues cannot sign all players on their list.

So, Bryan Zaragoza is no longer a target for Real Madrid heading into the 2024 summer transfer window. It will be interesting to see who their top targets will be next year as they look to bolster their attack ahead of the 2024/25 season.
