Serhou Guirassy: On Top of the World
Serhou Guirassy has been the talk of the town in the Bundesliga since the start of the season. The Stuttgart striker has 16 goals and two assists across all competitions. Meanwhile, only Harry Kane has scored more goals in the German top flight than the 27-year-old.
His form has resulted in numerous Premier League clubs scouting him over the past few months. And, according to the report, those clubs have been presented with the opportunity to sign him in the upcoming months.
Serhou Guirassy joined VfB Stuttgart in the summer of 2022 from Stade Rennais on a season-long loan deal. On the back of an impressive debut season, the move was made permanent this past summer. Overall, he has featured in 39 matches for the Bundesliga club, contributing towards 34 goals.
Premier League Calling for Serhou Guirassy?
His impressive numbers have attracted a lot of attention, and the player looks all set to cash in on the amount of interest in him. He dreams of playing in the Premier League and wants to secure a move to England in the upcoming transfer window.
While Guirassy’s contract with the Bundesliga club runs until the summer of 2026, there is a £15.2 million release clause in his deal, which will make things easy for any club that wants to sign him. Arsenal and Manchester United are two of the clubs who have been linked with the 27-year-old of late.
The Red Devils do need offensive reinforcements, and Serhou Guirassy could be a great addition to their ranks as he will guarantee goals. As far as Arsenal are concerned, they are on the lookout for a proven goalscorer. While the 27-year-old is not really a world-class striker, his recent form suggests he could be a great short-term fix.
Guirassy’s representatives are keen on securing a Premier League move, and they have contacted United, Arsenal and many other English top-flight clubs. With a £15.2 million release clause in his deal either of them could easily sign him.
However, with the 27-year-old likely to miss a few weeks of action after the winter break because of his involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations, it will be interesting to see if either of Manchester United and Arsenal make a move for him.
