Arsenal will have to fork out £50 million to acquire the services of 24-year-old Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.
According to a report by TEAMtalk, Arsenal are considering signing a new number nine in the winter transfer window, and they have their eyes on Dusan Vlahovic. The 24-year-old Juventus striker has had a good start to the new season, and he could be a great addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Vlahovic came through the ranks at Partizan Belgrade before making a move to Italy and joining Fiorentina. After over 100 appearances and 49 goals for Fiorentina, Juventus acquired his services in the winter of 2022.
The Serbian international has done a decent job since joining the Bianconeri. He has not been as consistent as the Italian giants expected him to be. But Vlahovic is getting better with time, producing some impressive performances this term.
The Serb was linked with a move away from the club in the summer, but the Old Lady have kept hold of their star striker. In the ongoing season, he has featured in a total of ten Serie A games and has contributed towards five goals.
He has had a great start to the new campaign and once again, he is on the radar of quite a few clubs. Arsenal are one of the clubs that have been monitoring him for a while now. The Gunners are in search of a new number nine.
Mikel Arteta already has two quality forwards in his ranks. But he is looking for a player with a different profile, and the Spanish boss feels the Serbian international could be a great fit. Meanwhile, Juventus are in talks with the player’s representatives over a new deal.
While the Bianconeri are looking to extend his current contract that runs until the summer of 2026, they are not in the best of financial situations and could let the 23-year-old leave if the right offer arrives.
