Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa are reportedly planning a transfer raid on Motherwell for young Scottish strike sensation Lennon Miller.
According to Teamtalk, Tottenham, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa are among a host of Premier League clubs keeping tabs on Motherwell’s teenage starlet, Lennon Miller, after bursting onto the Scottish Premiership scene.
Still just 17 years old, Miller is very highly rated at Motherwell, and he could well be their next big homegrown export. He became their youngest-ever player when he came on as a substitute in a League Cup win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle just days after his 16th birthday back in September last year.
Primarily a central midfielder who can play on the right and in either a holding or attacking role, he made fleeting substitute appearances for the Steelmen last season, including against Celtic. But his big breakthrough has come this term with nine top-flight starts and five further outings in the Scottish League Cup.
The Fir Park outfit are so impressed with him that they just secured him a new contract, extending his previous deal by a year and tying him down until the summer of 2026. That is despite the youngster picking up a serious knee injury against Aberdeen at the start of the month that has ruled him out for at least the next three months.

TEAMtalk reports this weekend that his progress has put him on the radar of several English Premier League sides, such as Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United. Tottenham, for one, have got one of the very best academies in the United Kingdom and are trending in the right direction under Australian boss Ange Postecoglou this season.
Having been hit by injuries to a number of important players, he would have already been hunting for winter reinforcement. But he is also investing in the academy, providing opportunities for young players to impress and rewarding their efforts. Bringing in a prospect like Miller would be great business for the club, although the chances of him getting regular first-team football are slim.
As for Newcastle United, their youth academy is crucial for their long-term success, producing players for the senior squad and generating vital funds to re-invest in the first team. Magpies’ director of football, Dan Ashworth, is tasked with a massive ongoing recruitment drive of young talent from both the UK and overseas.
Miller has caught the attention of Ashworth and is seen as a promising talent for the future, exemplifying the club’s commitment to building a strong foundation through their youth system.

Aston Villa, meanwhile, have signed young players well too and helped them develop into top talents, and this is a signing that would fall into that category. Aston Villa’s President of Football Operations, Monchi, is known for his dedication to nurturing young players and providing them with the necessary pathway and guidance to reach their full potential.
