Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing 30-year-old Croatian international defender Borna Barisic from Rangers.
A report from Calciomercato has revealed that Borna Barisic will be a free agent at the end of the season. And Aston Villa could look to sign the 30-year-old in a Bosman move in the 2024 summer transfer window.
The West Midlands club could certainly use more depth in the full-back department, and Barisic would be a useful acquisition for them on a free transfer. He has shown his quality with Rangers in the Scottish Premiership, and the opportunity to move to the Premier League could be an exciting option for him.
The 30-year-old has the quality and the experience to thrive in English football, and he would be a useful squad option for Unai Emery. Although Aston Villa have Alex Moreno and Lucas Digne at their disposal, they are expected to sell at least one of them in the coming months.
