Manchester United ready to offer over €20 million per year to Vinicius Junior

Manchester United are ready to pay over €20 million per year in wages to lure Vinicius Junior away from Real Madrid.

According to a report by Defensa Central, Manchester United would love to have Vinicius Junior in their ranks and they are ready to offer him wages of over €20 million per year. The 23-year-old is amongst the best forwards in world football and is on the wishlist of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Vinicius came through the ranks at Flamengo before making a big-money move to Real Madrid as a teenager back in the summer of 2018. Since joining Los Blancos, he has slowly transformed himself into one of the best forwards in the game.

In the initial years, he might not have had much game time at the club. But, he was surrounded by some of the biggest stars and has learned a lot from them. Over the past few seasons, he has been in sensational form and multiple clubs have been keeping a close eye on his situation at the Spanish club.

Last season, the Brazil international featured in a total of 55 matches and contributed towards 44 goals. He was in sensational form in the 2022/23 seasons and has carried it into the new season with six goal contributions in his 10 outings.

His exceptional performances have never gone unnoticed and he has been on the radar of some of the biggest teams in world football. The 23-year-old’s future did become the talk of the town after he was subject to racism on a regular basis in Spain. Quite a few clubs were linked with him, but he seems determined to continue at Real Madrid.

While the Spanish giants were busy negotiating new terms with the Brazil international, quite a few clubs were closely following the situation. Manchester United are one of the clubs that have him on their wishlist and are closely monitoring his contract situation.

Vinicius was earning just €3 million per year on his previous deal, and the Red Devils were ready to offer him over €20 million a year. Manchester United wanted him in their ranks and were ready to flex their financial muscles to bring him to the Premier League.

But, they will have to wait for a few more years to try again as the 23-year-old has penned down a new deal with Real Madrid. His new contract runs until the summer of 2027, and he will now be earning €10 million a year.
