Liverpool won’t entertain any offers for the services of their 31-year-old winger Mohamed Salah during the winter transfer window.
According to a report by Football Insider, Liverpool have made a decision regarding the future of Mohamed Salah. The Merseyside club have no intentions of selling their 31-year-old star winger in the winter transfer window irrespective of the offer.
Salah’s future has been one of the talking points in the world of football since the end of the summer transfer window. There was a lot of interest in the Egypt international from Saudi Pro League clubs.
Clubs from the Middle East had already signed Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Neymar among others and they were keen on having the Liverpool star in their league.
Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad even submitted a bid worth £150 million for the 31-year-old but Liverpool rejected it. They even considered making a bid of well over £200 million for the Egypt international. But, the Merseyside club somehow managed to hold onto their star forward.
The interest in the former AS Roma winger from the Middle East is still intact. And, clubs will most likely return for the services of Salah who has been in sensational form in the ongoing season. The right-winger has featured in 13 matches in all competitions and he has contributed towards 14 goals. He has found the back of the net on 10 occasions and has assisted his teammates four times.
Saudi Pro League clubs will surely knock on Liverpool’s door with a humungous offer. But, the Merseyside club have already made a decision regarding the future of their star forward. The Reds won’t entertain any offers for him as they have no intention of selling him midway through the season.
Jurgen Klopp’s team are currently fourth in the Premier League and Salah is very important for their setup. They had a disappointing season last time out and are looking to put up a much better show this time out. Klopp feels Salah could help them return to the Champions League and the German tactician doesn’t want to lose out on his star man in the middle of the season.
As a result, the club have decided that the 31-year-old is not for sale during the winter. And, even if the player forces a move, they will not accept any bid for his services and he still has over 18 months left on his deal with the club.
