Liverpool will have to fork out in excess of £ 87 million for the services of 20-year-old Bayern Munich sensation Jamal Musiala.
According to Ben Jacobs via GIVEMESPORT, Liverpool are interested in the services of Jamal Musiala. The 20-year-old Bayern Munich sensation’s future has been the talk of the town of late because of his diminished game time. And, the Merseyside club are keen on having him in their ranks.
Musiala joined Bayern Munich back in the summer of 2019 from Chelsea’s youth ranks. He started off with Bayern’s Under-17 setup and in a year’s time, he made it to their first team. The 20-year-old already has well over 100 appearances for the German giants.
He has been a very important player for them. Last season, the German international contributed towards 32 goals. He found the back of the net on 16 occasions and contributed with as many assists. The attacking midfielder has played an integral role in the team’s success over the past few seasons.
But, his future has become a talking point of late. Musiala has not been a regular starter under Bayern’s new boss Thomas Tuchel. The former Chelsea manager has preferred starting with Thomas Muller.
Musiala seems to be frustrated with the ongoing situation. And, multiple reports have linked him with a move away from the club. Liverpool are one of the many top clubs that have been monitoring the 20-year-old’s situation very closely and they will surely make a move if he is available in the market.
The Merseyside club underwent a major overhaul in the centre of the park during the summer. They signed Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch. Despite having added some quality players, Klopp is still on the lookout for another midfielder and he would love to have Musiala in his ranks.
While multiple reports have linked Musiala with a move away, this report suggests the player is in no rush. And, even Bayern are not looking to offload him. He still has well over two years left on his deal and Bayern are planning on offering him a new deal next year.
Meanwhile, Jacobs feels that if a club wants to land the 20-year-old sensation in the summer, they will have to pay a fee in excess of £87 million. He even mentions the fact that given the importance of the player to Bayern’s plans moving ahead, they are unlikely to cash in on him.
