Jadon Sancho has been linked with a move away from Manchester United ahead of the January transfer window.
Jadon Sancho has fallen down the pecking order at Manchester United, and he needs to leave in order to play regularly. A report from Fichajes has claimed that the English international could be a target for Saudi Arabian clubs, particularly those owned by the Public Investment Fund.
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United are willing to cut their losses on the England international and sell him midway through the season. Sancho has not been able to live up to the expectations since his £73 million move from Borussia Dortmund, and the player has now fallen out with manager Erik ten Hag.
The Dutch manager publicly criticised Sancho for his mediocre showing in training sessions, and the England international responded with a public statement that the claims were untrue. Since then, he has been sidelined and ordered to train away from the first team. It seems that there is no way back for the winger at Manchester United, and a move away from the club would be ideal.
The 23-year-old was regarded as a world-class talent during his time in Germany but he has not been able to live up to the expectations in the Premier League. It will be interesting to see if he is willing to move to Saudi Arabia at this stage of his career. There is unlikely to be any shortage of clubs looking to sign him in European football.
Sancho should ideally look to continue in Europe and prove his quality at the highest level. He will have plenty of opportunities to join Saudi Arabian clubs in the near future. There is no doubt that the £73 million Manchester United flop is an elite talent, and there is plenty of time for him to get his career back on track. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
Manchester United will probably look to recoup the money they paid for him. But it is highly unlikely that any club would be willing to shell out that kind of money for a player who has not been at his best for a long time.
That said, Saudi Arabian clubs have paid a premium for most players in the recent windows, and it would not be a surprise if they decided to pay big money for the England international winger as well. It remains to be seen how the situation develops over the next few months.

There have been rumours that Sancho will have to apologise and sort out his differences with the Manchester United manager if he wants to play at Old Trafford again. So far, the two parties have not been able to settle their differences, and it will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds.
