Aston Villa, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle United are all interested in the services of Paris Saint-Germain attacker Ousmane Dembele.
According to a report by Fichajes, Paris Saint-Germain are not happy with the performances of their summer signing Ousmane Dembele, and they are ready to offload the 26-year-old forward. There is a lot of interest in his services from England in particular, with Aston Villa, Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle United interested in the French international.
After the departure of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain back in 2017, Barcelona invested millions in signing Dembele. He was expected to be the next big thing in world football. But, injuries never really allowed him to showcase his full potential. Just when things started to fall in place for the French international at the Spanish club, PSG acquired his services for €50 million.
Since joining PSG in the summer, Dembele has featured in a total of nine games and he is yet to find the back of the net. He has not been able to deliver the goods, and the French club’s board has already lost patience and they are ready to sell him.
The 26-year-old does not fit well in Luis Enrique’s system. And, with the transfer not working out, PSG are looking to offload him and recoup a part of the investment that they made a few months back. Meanwhile, the report suggests four Premier League clubs are interested in him.
Unai Emery’s Aston Villa are one of the clubs. They have signed some exceptional players of late and feel adding Dembele could help them take the next step. Meanwhile, Liverpool are also interested in the 26-year-old. With Mohamed Salah linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League, Dembele could come in as a replacement.
Manchester United are also keeping a close eye on the situation. With Jadon Sancho no longer in the plans of Erik ten Hag, they could push for the French international. Sancho is expected to be sold in the winter and the money raised could be used to buy the former Barcelona star.
Even Newcastle United are interested in him. The Magpies have been doing wonders of late and could add Dembele to their ranks to take the next step. His arrival could make their attack more potent. While all four clubs are interested, there is nothing concrete as of now. But, with the winter window fast approaching, we will have clarity soon. One thing is certain, PSG won’t find it easy to offload the 26-year-old.
