Liverpool will have to break the bank and fork out €100 million for the services of 20-year-old Bayern Munich sensation Jamal Musiala.
According to a report by Fichajes, Liverpool are keen on having Jamal Musiala in their ranks. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has been doing wonders over the past few seasons for Bayer Munich and he is on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Musiala was a part of the Chelsea youth academy before joining Bayern Munich in the summer of 2019. Within a year he went from their Under-17 team to their first team. And, since getting promoted to the senior team, the 20-year-old has been doing wonders for the German giants.
He has already featured in a total of 133 games for Bayern and has contributed towards 57 goals. The German international was on fire last season as he contributed towards a total of 32 goals. He has carried his form into the new season and has three goal contributions in eight outings.
Musiala’s exceptional performances haven’t gone unnoticed and there are quite a few clubs who would love to have him in their ranks. While Bayern will try their best to keep him at the club, his contract situation has become the talk of the town.
The 20-year-old’s contract runs out in the summer of 2026 and there are no talks over a new contract at this point in time. The last extension he received was back in the summer of 2021. As a result, there are speculations regarding his future.
Liverpool are one of the clubs that would love to have him in their ranks. The Merseyside club have been monitoring him for a while and could end up pushing for the 20-year-old. Jurgen Klopp is a big admirer of the German international and he feels Musiala could make them more threatening going forward.
If Mohamed Salah ends up leaving the club, they will surely go in for the German sensation. They already have wide areas covered having signed some quality wingers of late and adding an attacking midfielder of Musiala’s calibre will surely make them a much better unit.
But, the Merseyside club will have to break the bank to land him at the club. According to the report, they will have to fork out at least €100 million to sign the Bundesliga gem.
