Manchester United scouting Luis Guilherme

Manchester United are regularly scouting Palmeiras’ 17-year-old Brazilian midfield sensation, Luis Guilherme, with future talks possible.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are regularly scouting Luis Guilherme. The 17-year-old Brazilian midfield sensation continues to rise in stature with Palmeiras, with several other European clubs also following his progress.

Manchester United are keeping firm tabs on some of the young rising stars from South America ahead of potential moves in the future. The Red Devils have increased their scouting activity in the continent, especially in Brazil, where they are tracking several players they believe can make it into their future teams.

For now, Manchester United are not conducting any direct talks with clubs or with agents. However, that could begin once they have total perspective on which player they would like to target, with Palmeiras’ Luis Guilherme emerging as a favourite to get the nod.

Guilherme has had the interest of several other clubs, with Real Madrid tracking his progress since January alongside five other Brazilian youngsters. The Spanish giants have already agreed on a deal for another one of their rising star, Endrick and could follow suit with other youngsters currently playing there.

Manchester United are not alone in the hunt and could face a challenging time to convince those players to choose them over other European giants. The Red Devils are also keen on Lorran, a teammate of Guilherme, but the latter could be their lead target among the two.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the reports about Manchester United’s scouting activity in Brazil. He has suggested that they were looking at Guilherme. He also said five other European sides were chasing the 17-year-old Brazilian midfield sensation.

Romano said, “Keep an eye on Man Utd in South America because in recent weeks, Man Utd, as I told you, sent their scouts – as well as Chelsea – to follow Lorran from Flamengo, this talented Brazilian boy. Man Utd scouts were in attendance to follow this player. But from what I’m hearing, there is also one more player being monitored by Man Utd – Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras. One more Brazilian talent.”

“So, someone from Man Utd’s scouting department is travelling around Brazil to keep an eye on these players. Let’s see what’s going to happen because, for example, on Luis Guilherme, there are more than five important European clubs from Germany, from England, from different countries, so work in progress on that one.”

Guilherme, when compared to Lorran, seems more like an established player at Palmeiras. The 17-year-old Brazilian midfield sensation is in the latter stages of his development, and hence top European teams might feel he could move to the continent earlier than the others.

Manchester United are keen to bolster their youth sides with players that could make a quick jump into their first-team plans in the future. Guilherme already has considerable experience playing with the senior side, which may have attracted the Premier League side towards the 17-year-old Brazilian midfield sensation.
