Serie A giants Juventus have reportedly offered Real Madrid the chance to sign in-form Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic on loan in January.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Real Madrid will have the chance to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus in the January transfer window. The Serie A giants have offered the in-form striker to Los Blancos, who can secure his services by paying a loan fee of €10 million. They will also have to bear his entire wages, worth €9 million per year.
Dusan Vlahovic has blown hot and cold since joining Juventus from Fiorentina in January 2022. One of the best young strikers in Serie A before his move to Turin, his stock has fallen in the last 18 months. The Serb began his stint with Juventus well but endured a sub-par 2022/23 campaign.
But the 23-year-old has started the new campaign strongly, managing four goals and one assist in six appearances thus far. But Vlahovic still faces an uncertain future at the Serie A club amid the financial issues plaguing Juventus. So, the Serie A giants have offered the in-form striker to Real Madrid.
Interestingly, Real Madrid had the chance to secure Vlahovic’s services in the summer transfer window. But a move failed to materialise, with Los Blancos rejecting the offer to sign him from Juventus. However, the early days of the 2023/24 season have showcased the need to add goals to the team.
Jude Bellingham is the top scorer for Real Madrid thus far this season, with the Englishman leading the charge for his team. With Vinicius Junior being the only reliable goalscorer, Los Blancos can do with a new striker. Dusan Vlahovic has thus emerged as a viable target for Real Madrid heading into the January transfer window.
The report claims that Juventus will happily offer Vlahovic’s services to Real Madrid. The catch is that the Merengues need to pay a loan fee of €10 million while bearing his wages worth €9 million per year. While the costs seem high, Los Blancos should take up the opportunity.
Failure to sign a striker in the January transfer window might cost Real Madrid trophies this season. So, it will be interesting to see if the in-form Serbian striker arrives at the Santiago Bernabeu on loan this winter.
