Representatives of Tottenham Hotspur’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are all set to travel to Turin in order to hold talks with Juventus over a potential transfer.
According to Corriere dello Sport via SportWitness, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is looking to part ways with Tottenham Hotspur in January. The 28-year-old midfielder is not getting enough minutes and he is ready to switch clubs.
Meanwhile, Juventus are keen on having a new midfielder in their ranks and they have started making moves to land the Danish midfielder at the club. The Old Lady are quite serious about their pursuit of the former Southampton star.
Even the player is looking for a place where he will get more first-team minutes. His agent is all set to arrive in Turin in order to hold talks with the Italian club. He will meet Juventus’ sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli in order to have a clear idea of what their intentions are regarding Hojbjerg.
Ange Postecoglou’s arrival has seen the 28-year-old go down the pecking order at Spurs. He is not a major part of the Australian manager’s plans. As a result, he has only been on the pitch for 169 minutes despite being involved in six games.
Hojbjerg doesn’t want to remain on the sidelines, he wants to join a club where he will be a first-team regular. Meanwhile, even Spurs are ready to part ways with the Danish international whose contract runs out in the summer of 2025.
The London club are ready to let him leave for a fee of €30 million. Meanwhile, Juventus are not in the best of financial situations and are looking to sign him on loan with a possible buy option/obligation. Tottenham’s priority is a straightforward sale or a loan deal with an obligation to buy worth €30 million.
If Tottenham’s stance doesn’t change it will be very difficult for the Turin-based club to get this deal over the line. But, with the player’s agent travelling to Turin, they could figure out a way to make a deal happen in the winter transfer window.
Meanwhile, the two clubs share a very good relationship following the deal of Dejan Kulusevski back in the day and that might help them reach an agreement for Højbjerg’s transfer.
