Manchester United could offer in excess of €55 million for Evan Ferguson

Manchester United could offer over €55 million in an attempt to sign Evan Ferguson, although Brighton won’t even flinch for that price.

According to Fichajes, Manchester United are keen on Evan Ferguson and could reportedly offer in excess of €55 million. The Irish striker has grown into a sensation with Brighton, who would not even flinch at that reported fee, as they will demand well over €100 million for the Premier League forward.

Evan Ferguson currently features on top of every big club’s striker shortlist. Be it Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United or even Real Madrid, the Ireland international has seen his stock rise recently.

The Seagulls already consider him their next big sale in the coming seasons and will ask for a fee close to or higher than some of their recent exports. Moises Caicedo went for nearly £115 million, and Ferguson, for his performances, would get sold for a similar price point.

Real Madrid are one of the clubs keen and could approach the coming windows. Manchester City might have come into the picture, but they already have a similar profile in Erling Haaland so Pep Guardiola might sit this one out. If the Norwegian departs for another challenge, then Ferguson becomes an option for them as well.

Arsenal are also planning a raid in 2024, and they also have good relations with Brighton after recent business dealings. The report claims it’s Manchester United who are willing to make a concrete offer to land the Premier League forward from Brighton.

The claim is that Manchester United could make an offer of over €55 million for the striker to test Brighton’s resolve. The Seagulls may not even flinch at the prospect of entertaining bids of those figures, as they will demand more than double.

Like Manchester City, Manchester United also found a striker of a similar profile in Rasmus Hojlund. So, why they need another player with a similar style remains the question, as clearly, there’s only room for one forward of that type in any top-rated team.

Manchester United fans can get excited by the prospect of their club’s interest in the Brighton star. They are still determining whether they can afford him in the current market. For someone like Arsenal and Real Madrid, they do not have a player of this style and could well make a concerted approach to sign him next summer.
